What a wedding it was! The bride was exquisitely beautiful in her strapless white gown of flowers. The groom simply glowed with love. Profuse tulips were everywhere in white and yellow, spreading sunshine. The ceremony was delightfully appropriate to these modern times, full of caution for loving in all seasons for all reasons. Lots of dancing and conviviality with a sumptuous buffet. My brother and his wife had the longest marriage in the house – 30 years. They looked so in love themselves, dancing together. She wore a Vera Wang gown of navy blue with matching shoes; he was in a black suit, perfectly cut. The bride and groom mingled with their guests and helped everyone feel welcome and special. I danced with joy. A grand time was had by all. It’s great to know in this world of so many negatives, the beauty of romance, love and marriage continues to give birth to hope – hope that two people can take the journey of life together and be enriched by all they share.
